WHITE FILLING – TOOTH BONDING

White Filling are Dental Tooth colour filling material.  We use them to fix broken teeth or fill holes in teeth.

At Kempsey Dental Centre, we only use white fillings to restore your teeth. We do not use Amalgam, the older type restoration.

We can match the natural colour of a tooth so that it is barely noticeable using composite, white fillings.

Composite fillings are a mix of resins and plastic materials and can be used on front and back teeth. Firstly dentist will prepare the tooth.  This often involve removal of decayed tooth structure.  Secondly, will clean the prepared cavity.  Thirdly will apply a thin layer of bond.  Finally  apply the tooth colour filling material.  We then put a special light on it. This soft filling material will set hard with the special light. Once the cavity is filled the restoration can be shaped and polished.
